Tyson & Mendes Receives “All In For Women” Award in Arizona: Award from the Maricopa County Chapter of Arizona Women Lawyers Association Recognizes Outstanding Efforts to Advance Women’s Workforce Equity

SCOTTSDALE, ARIZ. (October 26, 2022) – Leading civil and insurance litigation defense firm Tyson & Mendes LLP is this year’s recipient of the Maricopa County Chapter of the  Arizona Women Lawyers Association (AWLA) “All In For Women” award for the firm’s groundbreaking work in eliminating gender barriers across its 18 nationwide offices, including Scottsdale.

The AWLA All In For Women awards recognize legal organizations that exhibit an intentional effort and long-term commitment to furthering the success of women lawyers throughout the state.

With five female attorneys in its Scottsdale office – including Arizona Managing Partner Lynn Allen – and more than 86 other female attorneys across the U.S., Tyson & Mendes has shown a dedication to women’s empowerment and inclusion in an industry traditionally dominated by men.

“Tyson & Mendes not only acknowledges the social and vocational obstacles women in law face, we are doing something about it,” Allen said. “The firm prioritizes gender equity and is committed to listening and responding through systems of support for the women in our firm.”

In 2016, the firm launched its TM Women’s Initiative to promote career development through business, networking and mentoring for its female staff and clients in the insurance industry. The TM Women’s Initiative is chaired by Scottsdale Senior Counsel Kimberly Sayre. With additional programs like student loan repayment assistance and paid maternity leave, Tyson & Mendes continues to champion opportunities that allow women to flourish within all roles, personal and professional.

The All In For Women award comes on the heels of Tyson & Mendes’ recognition as a “No. 1 Ceiling Smasher” in Law360’s 2022 Glass Ceiling Report. These annual findings rank firms with the highest percentages of female attorneys across the nation. With 62% of Tyson & Mendes’ equity partners being women, the firm leads the “101-250 attorneys” category for female equity partnership.

Tyson & Mendes is celebrating 20 years of protecting its clients’ interests and delivering justice both inside and outside the courtroom. With 18 offices across the country serving 19 states, it is one of the fastest growing civil defense firms in the U.S. The firm is proud to offer one of the fastest and clearest paths to partnership of any mid-sized law firm in the U.S. For more information or to view career opportunities, visit www.tysonmendes.com.
