Tobias Koch

Tobias Koch is an Associate at Tyson & Mendes’ Ft. Lauderdale office. His practice focuses on general litigation, with an emphasis on premises liability cases.

Prior to joining Tyson and Mendes, Mr. Koch served as a Public Defender for the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court in Orlando, Florida. During his time as a Public Defender Mr. Koch handled cases ranging from felonies to misdemeanors, from intake to trial preparation. He has extensive litigation experience, including representing businesses and associations in state court. Mr. Koch finds success in securing favorable outcomes for his clients, including a full defense verdict during a four-day jury trial in May of 2023 which saved his clients from a potential million-dollar liability exposure.

Mr. Koch obtained his J.D. from Florida A&M College of Law in Orlando, Florida. He obtained his B.A. from the University of Central Florida, majoring in Legal Studies.

In his free time, Mr. Koch enjoys spending time with his family. He also enjoys playing golf, fishing, and attending sporting events.
