Ian Wilson

Ian Wilson is Senior Counsel in Tyson & Mendes’ Northern California office and is part of a multi-attorney team.  He practices general litigation, with a primary focus on construction defect, personal injury, and professional liability defense.

Mr. Wilson has a wide range of litigation experience representing individuals, businesses, and public entities in various state and federal courts.  He has successfully argued numerous law and motion matters, as well as pre-trial and trial related motions.  Mr. Wilson is an experienced negotiator, having also successfully represented countless insureds during the settlement phase of litigation.  Recently, he obtained a three-year protective order at the close of a one-day civil harassment bench trial.  Mr. Wilson is admitted to practice in the state of California, and the Federal Court for Northern District.

Mr. Wilson obtained his J.D. from the Whittier College School of Law in 2007, where he was a Children’s Rights Fellow at Whittier’s Center for Children and Families.  He obtained his B.A. from the University of Georgia in 1999 and was a member of the Political Science Department’s academic honor society. Mr. Wilson is a member of the State Bar of California, the San Mateo County Bar Association, the Santa Clara County Bar Association, and the Federal Bar Association.

In his free time, Mr. Wilson enjoys spending time with his wife and his two children.  He also enjoys skiing, trail running, and Georgia football in the fall.
