Christina Herrera

Christina Herrera is Senior Counsel at Tyson & Mendes’ San Antonio office. Ms. Herrera brings more than 19 years of experience litigating insurance defenses cases in San Antonio and throughout Texas.

Ms. Herrera has significant experience in personal auto, trucking and transportation, premises liability, and construct defect matters at primary and excess levels. She also has a niche practice defending non-profit businesses including churches and private schools against personal injury and sexual misconduct allegations. She is a member of Tyson & Mendes’ Diversity and Inclusion Committee and has presented on the topic of implicit bias. Ms. Herrera is licensed to practice in Texas state courts and before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Western, Southern, and Eastern Districts of Texas.

Ms. Herrera obtained her J.D. from Southern Methodist University in Dallas and her B.A. in Government from the University of Texas.

After practicing in the Dallas/Fort Worth area for 10 years, Ms. Herrera moved to San Antonio to continue her practice. She and her husband have three daughters and two dogs that keep them on their toes. She enjoys reading, traveling, and cheering on her Texas Longhorns.
