The New York-based team is led by partners Randy Faust and Kristina Milone. Faust will take charge as Managing Partner of Tyson & Mendes’ New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut offices.

Concentrating his practice on insurance and civil defense, Faust has tried more than 100 cases to verdict in venues across the U.S., including California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Florida, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Washington, and West Virginia. With more than 25 years of experience, he has successfully litigated construction, catastrophic injury, insurance, and wrongful death cases – defending New York Labor Law cases for the largest construction companies in the Northeast. In addition to his corporate experience, Faust served as an assistant district attorney at the New York County District Attorney’s Office. He was first assigned to the Special Prosecutions Bureau, where he was responsible for the investigation and prosecution of the largest property damage insurance fraud case ever brought in the United States. Faust was promoted to the prestigious Career Criminal Division, where he was responsible for the prosecution of some of the most violent criminals in New York City.

Faust is a fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, a peer-selected honorary society of the best trial lawyers in the United States. He is admitted to practice law in New Jersey, New York and the United States District Courts in the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. Faust earned his J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law and his Bachelor of Science, cum laude, in international business and management from New York University.

Milone has extensive experience leading all phases of insurance defense, civil, and government litigation and has worked on multiple high-exposure trials across the U.S. She has conducted more than 200 depositions and has defended governmental clients against claims for employment discrimination, personal injury, and breach of contract claims. She has also conducted internal investigations relating to various government agencies regarding compliance with local and federal laws. Earlier in her career, Milone served as deputy county attorney for the Nassau County Attorneys’ Office and worked for several other litigation-focused law firms.

Admitted to practice law in New York and the United States District Courts in the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, Milone earned her J.D. from the Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center at Touro College and her Bachelor of Arts in communications and business administration from St. John’s University.
