Tyson & Mendes Announces Two New Equity Partners: Daniel Fallon in San Diego and Jacob Felderman in Denver Promoted

SAN DIEGO (January 14, 2022) – National civil defense firm Tyson & Mendes LLP announced today the promotion of two long-time partners to equity partner: Jacob Felderman and Daniel Fallon. These new additions bring the firm’s total equity partnership to 10, including Robert Tyson, Patrick Mendes, Mina Miserlis, James Sell, Susan Oliver, Cayce Lynch, Kristi Blackwell and Lynn Allen.

“Dan and Jake are extremely talented attorneys and have both been key leaders within our firm for many years,” said Tyson & Mendes Managing Partner Robert Tyson. “Their exceptional drive for positive client results, depth of experience and dedication to our firm makes them outstanding additions to Tyson & Mendes’ equity partnership.”

Based in the firm’s San Diego office, Fallon leads a group of litigators specializing in professional liability, personal injury, general commercial liability and business litigation. Fallon began his work at Tyson & Mendes as senior counsel in 2014 and has secured positive case resolutions for numerous clients, including a defense verdict following a contentious professional liability trial and a directed verdict against negligence and fraud allegations. Fallon has routinely secured judgments in favor of his defense clients through strategic motion work upheld on appeal.

Fallon attended Hamilton College in upstate New York and worked at a multinational law firm on Wall Street before obtaining his law degree at the University of San Diego School of Law. He served on the Board of Directors for San Diego Defense Lawyers and is a Barrister with the American Inn of Court, Hon. William B. Enright Chapter.

Formerly the Denver Office Managing Partner, Felderman serves as Tyson & Mendes’ head of legal operations, a newly created role he took on in 2021.  Felderman supervises the firm’s nationwide legal operations and provides strategic guidance on substantive legal issues across the firm. He also acts as an advocate for all Tyson & Mendes attorneys, oversees case assignments and trial staffing and contributes to attorney and staff education content. Felderman joined Tyson & Mendes in 2011 and brings nearly 20 years of legal experience to the firm’s equity partnership. In addition to his operational role for the firm, he maintains an active law practice, with in-depth experience handling cases in many practice areas including general negligence, professional liability, business disputes, premises liability, product liability, personal injury, and commercial and general civil litigation.

Beyond his work with the firm, Felderman volunteers as legal counsel for outdoor recreational organizations, where he won a Federal administrative appeal against the U.S. Forest Service. He earned his Juris Doctor in 2003 from the University of Iowa College of Law and received his Bachelor of Arts in English, with honors, from the University of Iowa.

Tyson & Mendes is celebrating 20 years of protecting its clients’ interests and delivering justice both inside and outside the courtroom. With 16 nationwide offices serving 18 states, it is one of the fastest growing civil defense firms in the U.S. For more information and to view career opportunities, visit www.tysonmendes.com.
