National insurance trial defense firm Tyson & Mendes, LLP announced today Founding Partner Robert F. Tyson Jr. has been elected to the Board of Trustees at Villanova University. Tyson’s election reflects his longstanding commitment to Villanova and continued service to the University’s mission. He has remained actively involved with the institution for over 40 years, previously serving as president of the San Diego chapter of the Villanova University Alumni Association and as a member of the President’s Advisory Council at Villanova University.

A native of Staten Island, New York, Tyson earned his B.S. in Finance from the Villanova School of Business in 1986 and obtained his J.D. from the Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law in 1989. His professional achievements and innovation have positioned him as a respected voice within both the legal and academic communities.

As a trustee, Tyson will serve as part of the University’s governing body, charged with the task of reaffirming Villanova’s mission and strategic direction.
