The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted every professional and company in some way and a major issue is how juries will impact exposures and the insurance industry. Many corporate boards have been forced to make difficult decisions, healthcare professionals are at the front lines of the fight, and other professionals, such as accountants and lawyers, must quickly and dramatically reinvent how they serve their clients. All while most employers face potential exposure arising out of employee safety, layoffs, or rapid efforts to move their entire workforce remote. This session will explore the emerging issues that could lead to Nuclear Verdicts™, the exposures for the insurance industry, and how insurance defenses can prevail in a post-COVID-19 world.
