Kevin P. McNamara
Kevin P. McNamara is a Partner at Tyson Mendes’ Los Angeles office. His practice focuses on catastrophic personal injury defense, commercial vehicle litigation, premises liability litigation, and general liability litigation. Mr. McNamara has extensive experience advising insurers on their duties under general liability, excess, umbrella, pollution, property, trucking, and auto insurance policies. He also has experience litigating coverage disputes involving a wide array of insurance policies.
Prior to joining Tyson & Mendes, Mr. McNamara was the Regional Managing Partner of Traub Lieberman Straus & Shrewsberry LLP’s Los Angeles office. He has successfully disposed of cases by way of motion for summary judgment, tried bench and jury trials to verdict, and has argued before the California Court of Appeal.
Mr. McNamara earned his J.D., cum laude, from Pepperdine University School of Law in 1995 and his B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley in 1992. He is recognized by Best Lawyers since 2021 for bad faith insurance law.
In his free time, Kevin enjoys spending time with his wife Rasika, and their three children, attending their many sporting and dance events.
