Heather M. Abissi

Heather M. Abissi is Senior Counsel in Tyson Mendes’ New York and Chicago offices and a member of its New York Litigation Team.

Ms. Abissi’s practice focuses on both trial and written advocacy through the crafting of persuasive and dispositive motions, petitions, memoranda, and appellate briefs. She has extensive litigation experience at state and appellate levels, and in federal practice. Ms. Abissi has also litigated in criminal, civil, administrative, and civil rights contexts.

Ms. Abissi obtained her J.D. from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University. She served on both the Family Court Review and Moot Court. She also obtained her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University: Illinois School of Professional Psychology. Ms. Abissi obtained her B.A. in Psychology from Roosevelt University.

In her free time, Ms. Abissi enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her husband and family, which includes three cats and a dog.
