Griffith Hayes

Griffith Hayes is a Managing Partner in Tyson & Mendes’ Las Vegas office. His practice includes general liability, products liability, professional liability, and premises liability as well as construction, commercial litigation, public entity matters, and representation of financial institutions. With over 32 years of practice, Mr. Hayes brings a wealth of experience to the team.
Prior to joining Tyson & Mendes, Mr. Hayes served as the local managing partner for the Nevada-based operation of a national law firm. He also previously worked as a partner and served as managing partner of the Nevada office of an Orange County-based firm for over 14 years. Mr. Hayes has significant knowledge of construction litigation, and he is often retained to work on construction agreements for developers and general contractors. He also has experience representing public entities, including excessive force cases and other civil rights matters and dangerous conditions cases.
Mr. Hayes received his J.D. from California Western School of Law in 1985 and his B.A. from the University of California at San Diego. He is rated AV-Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell and is recognized by Best Lawyers since 2021 for construction litigation.
In his free time, Mr. Hayes enjoys watching the Raiders and the Golden Knights.
