Tyson & Mendes Adds Experienced Casualty and Liability Partner in Tampa: Veteran Trial Attorney Charles Reynolds Joins from Trenham Law

Tampa, Fla. (June 21, 2022) – Nationwide civil litigation defense firm Tyson & Mendes LLP has announced Charles Reynolds joined the firm as a new partner in its Tampa office. Reynolds brings over 30 years of experience defending clients in matters relating to products and premises liability, construction defects, medical malpractice, and toxic torts.

Reynolds joins Tyson & Mendes from Trenham Law where he was senior counsel in the firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group. Prior to Trenham Law, he spent 25 years as partner and department chair for casualty and liability litigation at insurance defense firm Butler Weihmuller Katz Craig LLP.

Reynolds is a veteran of the United States Air Force where he served as an officer and judge advocate as well as an assistant United States attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia and the military’s trial observer for American and NATO personnel serving in Italy. After serving, he continued his legal career as a chief legal officer at Geonex Corporation in St. Petersburg, Fla. where he monitored litigation for an international mapping company and pioneer of GPS technology for military and civilian uses.

Reynolds received his JD from Mercer University School of Law and attended The Judge Advocate General’s School while enlisted in the U.S. Airforce.

Reynolds is a Certified LEED Green Associate and is recognized as a Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent® Peer Review Rated™ attorney for the highest level of professional excellence. He is one of only two attorneys appointed by The Florida Bar to sit on the Supreme Court Judicial Ethics Committee.
