Catastrophic Personal Injury Trial Veteran Jack Liebhaber Joins Tyson & Mendes in Los Angeles

Los Angeles (February 07, 2024)Leading insurance and civil litigation defense firm Tyson & Mendes LLP announced today that Jack Liebhaber has joined the firm as a Partner in its Los Angeles office. Liebhaber is a veteran trial attorney with decades of experience in catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death and fraud defense.

Mr. Liebhaber is lead counsel of record in more than 100 jury trials. He is a current Advocate level member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and has been a member of the prestigious, invitation-only, trial organization since 1998.

Prior to joining Tyson & Mendes, Mr. Liebhaber was an attorney with several other law firms and started his defense career with Spray, Gould & Bowers.  Most recently, he was with Bretoi, Lutz and Stele, where he served as in-house counsel for long-time client Mercury Insurance. He has conducted trials and handled high-exposure cases against the toughest plaintiffs’ firms in the country. He has supervised numerous high-risk and catastrophic cases at once while maintaining the highest quality of defense and forming meaningful relationships with his clients.

Mr. Liebhaber is faculty for the Jack Daniels Trial School and was invited to be one of the original Settlement Officers at Los Angeles Superior Court’s Crash Settlement Conference program in West Santa Monica District. In addition to ABOTA, he is also a current member of the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel.

Mr. Liebhaber is admitted to practice in the state of California and in the U.S. District Court, Central District of California. He obtained his J.D. from Pepperdine Caruso School of Law and his B.A. in political science and history from SUNY Binghamton University.
