Travis Dunsmoor

Travis Dunsmoor is Senior Counsel in Tyson & Mendes’ Las Vegas office. His practice focuses on complex litigation defense across multiple practice areas, including personal injury defense, premises liability, construction defect, commercial disputes, property and water rights, and other complex civil litigation.

With more than 12 years of litigation experience, Mr. Dunsmoor has represented insurers, contractors, developers, businesses, governmental entities, and individuals throughout Nevada and Utah. He believes the best litigation outcomes are achieved through skilled advocacy, thoughtful strategy, clear communication, and practical problem-solving. Known for his responsive, client-centered approach, Mr. Dunsmoor takes the time to understand each client’s objectives, provide candid guidance, and develop litigation strategies tailored to their business and legal goals. He works proactively with clients and opposing counsel to identify opportunities for efficient resolution when appropriate, while remaining fully prepared to litigate cases through strategic discovery, motion practice, and trial advocacy. Among his recent successes, Mr. Dunsmoor represented a general contractor through a four-day bench trial, obtaining a judgment in his client’s favor that was later affirmed by the Utah Court of Appeals in the published decision Globe Contracting LLC v. Hour, 2025 UT App 98, 575 P.3d 235. The opinion established new Utah appellate authority interpreting the state’s construction retention proceeds statute. Mr. Dunsmoor is licensed to practice law in Nevada and Utah in both state and federal courts.

Mr. Dunsmoor obtained his J.D. from Washburn University School of Law and his undergraduate degree from Dixie State University (now Utah Tech University).

Outside the office, Mr. Dunsmoor enjoys spending time with his wife and children, attending rock concerts and music festivals, and taking advantage of Southern Utah’s outdoors through hiking, mountain biking, and snowboarding.
