Samir Mdawar

Samir Mdawar is an Associate at Tyson & Mendes. His practice focuses on civil litigation defense, including premises liability, construction/labor law matters, medical malpractice defense, general liability, and complex insurance defense litigation. Mr. Mdawar has experience handling all stages of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion strategy, case evaluations, deposition preparation, client and carrier reporting, and litigation strategy. Before joining Tyson & Mendes, Mr. Mdawar gained litigation experience in both the United States and Lebanon, giving him a broad understanding of civil law and common law systems and a practical, business-minded approach to defending clients.

Mr. Mdawar is committed to delivering strong results for his clients through careful analysis, strategic case development, and focused advocacy. He has helped clients achieve favorable outcomes by identifying key issues early, narrowing claims, challenging unsupported allegations, and developing defense strategies that reduce exposure. He has also worked on matters where effective discovery analysis, motion preparation, and case evaluation helped position clients for dismissal, favorable resolution, or significantly improved litigation posture. Mr. Mdawar approaches each case with the goal of protecting his clients’ interests, controlling risk, and creating leverage at every stage of litigation.

Mr. Mdawar earned his LL.M. from Pace University School of Law and is admitted to practice law in the State of New York. Prior to practicing in the United States, he worked for several years in Lebanon, where he handled civil and commercial legal matters and managed law clerks and paralegals. Mr. Mdawar is fluent in English, French, and Arabic, which allows him to communicate effectively with a wide range of clients, insureds, witnesses, and business stakeholders.

Outside of work, Mr. Mdawar enjoys staying connected to music, having worked as a professional musician for 13 years before entering the legal profession. He still enjoys playing music whenever possible and attending classical and jazz concerts. He is also an avid pool and billiards player.
