Michel Anastassiou

Michel Anastassiou is Senior Counsel in Tyson & Mendes’ Las Vegas office, where his practice focuses on insurance defense, corporate litigation, products liability, personal injury defense, and complex commercial matters.

Mr. Anastassiou regularly represents insureds, corporations, and business entities in state and federal court and advises clients on contract drafting and review, leasing, and entity formation. He takes a pragmatic, business-oriented approach to litigation, helping clients assess risk early, develop focused defense strategies, and resolve matters efficiently while maintaining strong trial posture. Mr. Anastassiou has achieved numerous favorable outcomes for his clients throughout his career. He has secured dismissals and summary judgment rulings that eliminated liability at early stages of litigation, significantly reducing exposure and defense costs. He has successfully narrowed claims through targeted motion practice and discovery strategy, positioning cases for cost-effective resolution. Mr. Anastassiou has also negotiated favorable settlements in complex personal injury and insurance defense matters and has defended corporate and insured clients through all phases of litigation, from initial investigation through arbitration and trial preparation. Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Anastassiou worked as a senior paralegal at Lagana & Associates in Boston and gained additional experience at several firms handling commercial litigation, debt collection, and insurance defense matters, including Kring & Chung and Resnick & Louis. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Nevada.

Mr. Anastassiou obtained his LL.M. from Suffolk University Law School, specializing in Global Law, Technology, and Business Law. He obtained his B.A. in Law from Damascus University, Faculty of Law, with a concentration in General International Law.

Outside of his practice, Mr. Anastassiou enjoys spending time with family and friends and values maintaining a healthy work-life balance. He has a strong interest in business development and entrepreneurship and enjoys staying active through swimming, soccer, and pickleball. He also enjoys exploring new food and cultural experiences.
