Kayla Smith

Kayla Smith is an Associate in Tyson & Mendes’ Los Angeles office. Her practice focuses on personal injury defense.

Through collaboration with experts and legal research, Ms. Smith has successfully settled many cases without the expense and time that is traditionally incurred in trial preparation. She has a deep understanding of medicine that allows her to identify areas of mitigation on claims. Ms. Smith has also had large success with motion practice throughout the litigation process and frequently takes and defend depositions that allows her to develop further case strategy.

Ms. Smith obtained her J.D. from Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles in 2022. She obtained her B.S. from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2018, where she studied environmental science.

In her free time, Ms. Smith enjoys spending time with her friends and playing with her cats. She also enjoys hiking, surfing, music, and traveling.
