Jason Souza

Jason Souza is Senior Counsel in Tyson & Mendes’ Los Angeles office. His practice focuses primarily on catastrophic personal injury, premises liability, and habitability and commercial property claims.

Mr. Souza has extensive litigation experience, including representing individuals and businesses in state courts throughout California and in federal district courts. He has successfully defended clients in high-stakes litigation with a unique talent for negotiating and informally settling high value claims. Mr. Souza has also drafted and argued winning motions, including summary judgment, anti-SLAPP, and motions to compel, leading to dismissals, fee awards, and favorable rulings. Mr. Souza previously gained experience as a plaintiff’s attorney, giving him keen insight into the inner workings of plaintiff strategies. He worked for top plaintiff law firms in southern California specializing in personal injury, premises liability, and consumer protection claims, consistently exceeding expectations in negotiations, discovery, and courtroom advocacy.

Mr. Souza obtained his J.D. from Whittier Law School. He obtained an LL.M. in Entertainment and Media Law from Southwestern Law School, and an M.B.A from the Drucker School of Management at Claremont Graduate University.

In his free time, he enjoys playing the drums, visiting museums, and international travel.
