Herbert Anthony Benitez

Herbert Anthony Benitez is an Associate in Tyson & Mendes’ Los Angeles office. His practice focuses on general liability defense, including premises liability cases and motor vehicle accidents.

Prior to becoming licensed to practice law in the state of California, Mr. Benitez worked at The Walt Disney Company, where he assisted the marketing legal team for Disney Branded Television, Freeform, and Onyx Collective in drafting licenses, content creation, and production agreements for marketing-related content. During his time in law school, he served as a law clerk for the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Crime Against Police Officers division, where he assisted Deputy District Attorneys with fact investigation and trial preparation. Afterwards, Mr. Benitez clerked for Lauson & Associates, where he assisted with drafting motions, declarations, and trademark office actions responding to the United States Patent and Trademark Office’s refusal of trademark registration.

Mr. Benitez obtained his J.D. from Southwestern Law School in 2020. He obtained his B.A. in History and with a minor in French from the University of Oregon.

In his free time, Mr. Benitez enjoys watching movies, college football, traveling, and cheering on the Oregon Ducks.
