David Anderson
David Anderson is Senior Counsel at Tyson & Mendes’ Denver and New Mexico offices. He is a seasoned litigation attorney who specializes in serious personal injury defense, construction defects, trucking and automobile accidents, commercial litigation, and wide variety of other areas.
Mr. Anderson is no stranger to the courtroom and has represented individuals and large corporations in state and federal courts across Colorado and New Mexico. He excels as an advocate and writer, positioning him well to resolve cases in the early stages of litigation. Recently, Mr. Anderson secured dismissals for two separate cases by motion, and in four other cases, he obtained summary judgment rulings. These outcomes saved clients and their insurers countless hours and resources, sparing them from non-meritorious claims.
Mr. Anderson obtained his J.D. from the University of Colorado Law School in 2011, where he served as an Associate Editor of the University of Colorado Law Review, represented clients in the Appellate Advocacy Clinic, and gained additional experience through participation in the Rothgerber Moot Court. He also served as a Deputy District Attorney, practicing under the Student Practice Act, where he prosecuted misdemeanor and serious traffic cases. Mr. Anderson obtained an MA and a BA in criminal justice from the University of Colorado and New Mexico State University, respectively. During college, David joined the United States Army Reserve, serving as a chemical, biological, and nuclear weapons expert. He deployed in support of and fought in Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003, including taking part in the initial invasion on March 20, 2003. As a result, he is now a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
When not safeguarding clients and insurers from Nuclear Verdicts®, David enjoys spending time with his family. He is an avid Colorado sports fan, particularly supporting the Broncos since 2010 as a season ticket holder. Additionally, he enjoys skiing, golfing (poorly), and camping.
