Christopher F. Wilson

Christopher F. Wilson is Senior Counsel in Tyson & Mendes’ Los Angeles office, where he focuses on complex personal injury cases, complex construction disputes, insurance coverage issues, employment disputes, and professional liability matters, as well as the defense of automotive manufacturers in Song-Beverly Act litigation.

With decades of litigation experience, Mr. Wilson has represented Fortune 500 companies, privately-held businesses, and public entities in state and federal courts throughout California. His practice includes demurrers, dispositive motion work, court and jury trials, arbitration, appellate briefing, and high-stakes settlement negotiations. Mr. Wilson is known for his trial readiness and ability to reduce exposure through strategic pretrial wins. For example, he secured summary-judgment-based settlement for a general contractor in a multi-party construction case involving claims exceeding $8 million. In a Song-Beverly warranty action against a major automaker, he obtained a walkaway settlement following a successful motion for summary judgment based on used car issues. While representing an insured in a performance bond dispute, he helped reverse a coverage denial, resulting in full payment of the $800,000 penal sum of the bond. Mr. Wilson has also led teams through multiparty mediations, often resolving matters on favorable terms before costly trial preparation begins. He is admitted to practice in California, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is a former U.S. Army captain and military prosecutor and has remained active in legal mentoring and pro bono initiatives throughout his career.

Mr. Wilson obtained his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.

Outside the office, Mr. Wilson is an avid ocean swimmer, trail runner, and cyclist. He enjoys traveling with his family, exploring the outdoors with his dogs, and training for endurance events. He and his wife are proud grandparents and active volunteers in their local community.
