Charles Reynolds

Charles Reynolds is the Tyson & Mendes Tampa Branch Office Managing Partner. His practice includes casualty and liability, with a focus on premises liability, toxic torts, products liability, personal injury, professional liability, transportation, and construction. Mr. Reynolds brings more than 35 years of experience to Tyson & Mendes.

Mr. Reynolds has a wealth of experience in litigation. He has represented numerous theme parks in personal injury claims, handled and coordinated hundreds of construction defect claims against a national building supplier, and litigated a multitude of asbestos toxic tort lawsuits on behalf of several companies. In a recent trial where plaintiff had lost an eye and suffered alleged brain damage while golfing, Mr. Reynolds obtained a defense verdict. He also handles general liability and transportation cases. In addition to his litigation experience, Mr. Reynolds served as an officer in the United States Air Force before becoming Chief Legal Officer for a military supplier of sophisticated weapons guidance systems. Mr. Reynolds has been an AV-rated lawyer since 2005. He was a certified AAA Consumer Arbitrator in 2021 and was elected to the board of International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC) in 2023. He is also recognized by Best Lawyers since 2021 in commercial litigation, construction, and insurance. Mr. Reynolds was one of only two attorneys appointed by The Florida Bar to sit on the Supreme Court Judicial Ethics Committee, and in 2023 was appointed by Florida’s Governor to the Judicial Nominating Commission (JNC) for Hillsborough County.

Mr. Reynolds is admitted to practice in Florida, the U.S. Court of Military Appeals, and the Middle, Northern, and Southern Districts of Florida.  He earned his J.D. from Mercer University School of Law and his B.A. from Mercer University.

In his free time, Mr. Reynolds enjoys acting and building furniture for family and friends.
