Andrea Garcia
Andrea Garcia is an Associate Attorney at Tyson & Mendes’ New York office. Her practice focuses on complex civil litigation defense, including privacy, negligent security, hospitality liability, premises liability, construction-related accidents and insurance defense matters.
Ms. Garcia has litigation experience representing corporate clients and insurers in complex civil litigation matters involving premises liability, negligent security, hospitality liability and fraud-related claims. Her experience includes motion practice, discovery strategy and case evaluation throughout all phases of litigation. Prior to practicing law, Ms. Garcia worked in the sports and entertainment industry in roles spanning venue naming rights, team operations, licensing and most recently, seven seasons in digital technology at Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment, the operating company of the Brooklyn Nets, New York Liberty, and Barclays Center.
Ms. Garcia obtained her J.D., cum laude, from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University’s Evening J.D. Flex Program in 2024, where she served on the Executive Board of Pace’s nationally ranked Trial Advocacy program and as President of the Sports, Entertainment and Arts Law Society. She also obtained her M.S. in Sports Management from Columbia University in 2020, where she helped create the Women’s Sports Collective and was nominated as the class graduation speaker. Ms. Garcia obtained her B.A. in Political Science and Journalism from Fordham University in 2018, where she was a member of the Division I Women’s Rowing team, earning Atlantic 10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll distinctions, and served on the Editorial Board of The Fordham Ram newspaper.
Ms. Garcia is a member of the Sports Lawyers Association (SLA), Women in Sports and Events (WISE), and the New York City Bar Association.
In her free time, Ms. Garcia enjoys running, tennis and golf. She also enjoys reading, cross-stitching and photography. She is a longtime volunteer with the Little League Challenger.
