Aaron J. Weissman

Aaron J. Weissman is Senior Counsel at Tyson & Mendes’ Los Angeles office. He has been AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell since 2015. He has worked in civil and business litigation for over 42 years, with an emphasis in motion and appellate practice.

Over those years, Mr. Weissman has extricated many clients from litigation by way of Demurrer, Summary Judgment and appellate decisions. He served as a judge pro tem at the Glendale and Burbank California courthouses for eight years, primarily covering law and motion calendars for unavailable judges. He was also a volunteer Los Angeles Superior Court Mediator for almost 20 years.

Mr. Weissman obtained his J.D. from the University of West Los Angeles School of Law, where he was Senior Class President, a member of the UWLA Law Review, and co-authored the article “Television Violence – Censorship and the First Amendment.” His undergraduate major was in Biology at UCLA. He is admitted to practice in the State of California, the U.S. District Court in the Central and Eastern Districts of California, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court.

In their free time, Mr. Weissman and his wife enjoy time with their two adult daughters, one grandchild (so far) and their adopted dogs. They also enjoy travel and experiencing many an enjoyable California wine from various California wine regions.
