Thomas Vargas

Thomas Vargas is an Associate in Tyson & Mendes’ San Antonio office. His practice focuses on insurance defense and personal injury defense.

Before joining Tyson & Mendes, Mr. Vargas worked at a local insurance defense firm, where he gained valuable experience representing clients in motor vehicle accident, premises liability, and construction defect cases.

Mr. Vargas obtained his JD from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, where he graduated cum laude in 2024. While enrolled in law school, Mr. Vargas served as a Senior Articles Editor and Staff Writer for the St. Mary’s Law Journal. He also interned for U.S. District Judges David Ezra and Xavier Rodriguez, where he worked on complex commercial cases. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Vargas obtained his B.S. in biology from the University of Texas at Austin.

In his free time, Mr. Vargas enjoys spending time with his fiancée, watching football, fishing, and grilling.
