Talha Muhammad

Talha Muhammad is an Associate in Tyson & Mendes’ Orange County office, where his practice focuses on insurance defense, catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, and professional liability matters.

Mr. Muhammad has experience defending individuals, businesses, and national corporations in high-exposure litigation, including complex cases involving negligence, agency, and vicarious liability. He has drafted and argued oppositions to summary judgment and motions in limine that preserved critical evidence and created triable issues of fact, allowing cases to move forward toward advantageous settlements or trial positioning. He has also negotiated significant reductions in claimed medical specials, evaluated and challenged expert testimony, and developed discovery strategies that strengthened defenses and reduced client exposure. In one matter, his advocacy contributed to a multi-defendant settlement being confirmed as a good faith settlement, protecting his client from crossclaims for indemnity. He is admitted to practice law in California. Mr. Muhammad is also an active member of the Muslim Bar Association of Southern California and the National Association of Muslim Lawyers.

Mr. Muhammad obtained his J.D. from UCI School of Law. He obtained his M.A. from the University of Chicago and his B.A. from the University of Southern California.

Outside of work, Mr. Muhammad is an avid fitness enthusiast who competes in Spartan Races and powerlifting competitions. He also enjoys traveling, exploring new cuisines, and spending time with his family and friends.
