Sheri Ann Forbes
Sheri Ann Forbes is Senior Counsel in Tyson & Mendes’ San Francisco Bay Area office, where she focuses on litigation and appellate matters.
Ms. Forbes has successfully resolved business disputes and recovered or defended business assets totaling more than fifteen million dollars for clients adversely impacted by fraudulent lending practices, complex construction law, UCC Article 9, ERISA law, class action certification, domestication of foreign judgments, and procedural law issues. She has obtained several favorable judgments on motions for summary judgment in trial courts, as well as receiving favorable outcomes on several appellate matters in cases before the Nevada District Court, the Nevada Supreme Court, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Ms. Forbes is licensed to practice in California, Nevada, the United States District Court District of Nevada, the United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
Ms. Forbes obtained her J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1999, where she was an Articles Editor for the 1999 edition of the Journal of Contemporary Legal Issues. She was also awarded the Best Brief Award for her first-year Lawyering Skills class. She obtained her B.A. from UCLA in 1990.
In her free time, Ms. Forbes enjoys spending time with her children, reading, writing fiction, hiking, traveling abroad, and photography.
