Shelby Peterson

Shelby Peterson is an Associate in Tyson & Mendes’ San Francisco Bay Area office. Her practice focuses on general liability, personal injury defense, premises liability, product liability, and professional liability.

Ms. Peterson’s past clients include start-ups and well-established companies that she represented in trademark law matters, including filing and prosecuting trademarks as well as litigation matters. Her experience also includes litigation in employment law, education law, and dependency law.

Ms. Peterson obtained her J.D. at the University of San Francisco. During her time at USF, she was the Black Law Students’ Association President. She was a Moot Court Competitor and later served on the Moot Court Board as a Development Director. Lastly, she represented pro bono clients in the Internet and Intellectual Property Justice Clinic. She obtained her B.A. at Virginia Commonwealth University.

In her free time, Ms. Peterson enjoys trying new restaurants, going to farmers markets, and spending time outside.
