Sara Stringfield
Sara Stringfield is an Associate in Tyson & Mendes’ San Francisco Bay Area office, where her practice focuses on liability defense, including general, product, personal injury and premises.
Ms. Stringfield represents individuals and businesses in all phases of litigation. In 2025, she led trial efforts on behalf of clients in Santa Clara County, achieving several significant evidentiary rulings excluding a substantial amount of plaintiff’s evidence, and leading to a settlement just before submission to the factfinder. Prior to joining Tyson & Mendes, Ms. Stringfield practiced with an immigration firm, where she litigated matters before Immigration Courts and consistently obtained favorable rulings on the cases she tried to conclusion. Before that, as a conflict defender in Idaho, she provided indigent court representation in criminal and child protection cases.
Ms. Stringfield obtained her J.D. from Arizona Summit Law School. She obtained her B.A. in History with a minor in Classics from The College of Idaho while working at the Idaho Attorney General’s Office, assisting with voluntary dispute resolution. She is a member of the San Francisco Bar Association and the Queen’s Bench Bar Association. She serves as a Court Appointed Special Advocate with the San Francisco Superior Court, and as a pro bono immigration defense attorney with the American Immigration Council.
Outside of her practice, Ms. Stringfield enjoys making music, dancing ballet, building things, and chasing first tracks of the day following a winter storm.
