Ronniesha G. Smith

Ronniesha G. Smith is Senior Counsel in Tyson & Mendes’ San Antonio Office. Her practice focuses primarily on general liability, personal liability, premise liability, insurance coverage and litigation, first-party bad faith litigation, third-party insurance defense, and labor and employment.

With extensive experience representing insurance companies, Ms. Smith excels in handling complex claims involving personal injury and property damage. Skilled in all aspects of litigation, Ms. Smith provides strategic counsel to clients, from pre-suit investigations and risk assessment to drafting pleadings, discovery, and motions. She is dedicated to delivering efficient and effective representation by working closely with clients to develop tailored defense strategies that align with their goals. Before practicing insurance defense, Ms. Smith gained regulatory and compliance experience advising Fortune 500 companies on government compliance matters and worked with the EEOC to investigate job discrimination complaints. She is barred in both Texas and South Carolina.

Ms. Smith obtained her J.D. from Charlotte School of Law. During her time in law school, she was a member of the Trial Advocacy Honor Board. She also served as the Property Law Journal Senior Staff Editor. She studied the Business of Wine Law abroad in Reims, France. She also received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award® recognizing the student highest grade in the course. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Smith obtained her B.A. in Communications from University of South Carolins- Aiken.

When not advocating for clients, Ms. Smith enjoys traveling, hiking, running, and watching her beloved South Carolina Gamecocks, demonstrating a well-rounded approach to both professional and personal pursuits.
