Richard A. Nervig
Richard A. Nervig is a Senior Counsel attorney in Tyson & Mendes’ Orange County office where he leads a multi-attorney team. His practice focuses on catastrophic personal injury defense, employment practices litigation defense, the defense of entity defendants as well as professional malpractice defense.
Mr. Nervig has extensive litigation experience representing individuals and businesses in state and federal courts throughout Arizona, Colorado, and California. Throughout his career, Mr. Nervig has secured favorable results that directly protected clients’ financial and business interests. He has successfully litigated claims in FINRA and AAA arbitration, recovering millions of dollars on behalf of defrauded investors. He has defended investment advisors and registered representatives in SEC and state regulatory enforcement actions, helping clients avoid career-ending sanctions. In bankruptcy court, he has prevailed in non dischargeability proceedings, ensuring creditors were able to recover on claims that might otherwise have been lost. Mr. Nervig has also defeated multiple claims brought against corporate officers and directors in high-stakes commercial disputes, safeguarding both personal and business assets. Mr. Nervig obtained his J.D. from Ohio Northern University in 1992 and his B.A. from The Metropolitan State University of Denver in 1988.
Mr. Nervig has been married for over thirty years to his high school sweetheart, has two grown children and enjoys, jogging, gardening, travel, and family activities.
