Molly Finnigan
Molly Finnigan is an Associate in Tyson & Mendes’ Orange County office, where she focuses her practice on complex insurance defense litigation. She represents individuals, businesses, and public entities in matters involving catastrophic personal injury, premises liability, products liability, and construction defect claims.
Ms. Finnigan has experience handling cases from pre-litigation through discovery and successful defense verdicts at trial. She has achieved strong results for her clients through strategic litigation and effective advocacy. Ms. Finnigan was part of a trial team that secured a complete defense verdict in a catastrophic personal injury case where the plaintiff was left in a permanent vegetative state following the incident. She has also obtained favorable settlements that significantly reduced client exposure, developed successful dispositive motions to narrow claims, and worked closely with experts to build defenses that positioned cases for dismissal or resolution on favorable terms. In arbitration, Ms. Finnigan has defended builders and developers against multi-million-dollar construction defect claims, ensuring client interests were protected at every stage. She is admitted to practice law in California
Ms. Finnigan obtained her J.D. from California Western School of Law. She obtained her B.A. from CUNY John Jay College of Criminal Justice, where she graduated with honors from the Macaulay Honors College.
Outside of work, Ms. Finnigan enjoys traveling, spending time on the water, and being with her husband and their dog, Maverick. A lifelong New England sports fan, she occasionally cheers for the Yankees—strictly as a goodwill gesture to her husband.
