Melissa Jantaworn

Melissa Jantaworn is an Associate in Tyson & Mendes’ Fort Lauderdale office. Her practice focuses on construction defect litigation defense, personal injury defense, and wrongful death defense cases.

Ms. Jantaworn worked as a law clerk for a Fort Lauderdale law firm specializing in family law, wills and estates, and real estate transactions, while simultaneously working remotely for a Japanese company in mergers and acquisitions. She successfully merged two companies and handled the refinancing of a portfolio of 22 properties. Ms. Jantaworn also completed several family law appellate briefs. Her exposure to family law piqued her interest in litigation, and she went on to become a summer associate at a large national firm, falling in love with trial practice. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Jantaworn began her career as a legal assistant at a Social Security and Disability law firm. She then worked with in-house counsel for a Miami residential real estate development firm before transitioning to her experience in public interest, specializing in affordable housing and small business development for Legal Services of Greater Miami. Ms. Jantaworn’s experience also includes real estate development, from site acquisition to financing and through closing. She is licensed to practice law in Florida, and she holds a Florida Real Estate license. She is also a member of the Florida Defense Lawyers Association.

Ms. Jantaworn obtained her J.D. from the University of Miami. During law school, she received a CALI Award of Excellence in Environmental Legal Research. She also obtained her B.B.A. from the University of Miami, dual majoring in Legal Studies and Marketing.

Outside of practicing law, Ms. Jantaworn adores her beautiful daughter and enjoys creating magical experiences for her little one. Once a pianist, she also enjoys classical piano concerts, Broadway, and travelling. Ms. Jantaworn genuinely cares about people, especially each and every one of her clients. Compassion and humility are virtues she continues to practice every day, in and out of her practice of law.
