Marquisha L. McGruder
Marquisha L. McGruder is an Associate in Tyson & Mendes’ San Francisco Bay Area office. Her practice includes personal injury, contract negotiation, document review, and general litigation support.
Mrs. McGruder has extensive experience assisting clients throughout all phases of litigation, including drafting pleadings, preparing discovery responses, conducting legal research, negotiating settlements, and managing case development through trial preparation. She has successfully negotiated favorable settlements on behalf of personal injury clients and assisted in litigation matters involving motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, wrongful death, and contract disputes. Mrs. McGruder also has significant experience reviewing and managing document productions on platforms such as Relativity, with a focus on privilege reviews, redactions, quality control, and privilege logs. In addition, she has negotiated licensing agreements, including agreements with major media outlets such as Dr. Phil.
Mrs. McGruder obtained her J.D. from Mississippi College School of Law in 2017, where she was an active member of the Black Law Student Association and a recipient of the Evelyn Gandy Lecture Scholarship. She obtained her B.A. in Business from Jackson State University in 2012, where she served as President and Vice President of the Alpha Tau Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. Mrs. McGruder is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.
In her free time, Mrs. McGruder enjoys blogging, personal wellness, reading books on higher consciousness, engaging with her community, and spending time with her husband and four sons.
