Karina Haro

Karina Haro is an Associate in Tyson & Mendes’ Orange County office. Her practice focuses on general insurance defense litigation.

Before joining Tyson & Mendes, Ms. Haro was in-house counsel for a national healthcare company, where she advised business leaders on a broad range of legal matters, including employment issues, regulatory compliance, commercial contracting, and risk management. In that role, Ms. Haro independently managed dispute resolution matters, negotiated settlements, oversaw subpoena responses and privilege review, conducted internal investigations, and represented the company in various adversarial proceedings. Ms. Haro also advised on healthcare regulatory and privacy issues, supported mergers and acquisitions due diligence efforts, and negotiated and drafted a wide variety of commercial agreements. Ms. Haro’s in-house experience provides her with a practical, business-oriented perspective that shapes her approach to litigation and client counseling.

Ms. Haro obtained her J.D., cum laude, from California Western School of Law, where she served as a board member of the Latinx Law Student Association. She obtained her B.A. in Sociology and Spanish, with a minor in Education, from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

In her free time, Ms. Haro enjoys spending time with her family, her fiancé, and their dog, Mila. She also enjoys attending pilates classes, traveling, baking, and cheering for the Dodgers.
