Holly M. Ballas

Holly Ballas is Senior Counsel in Tyson & Mendes’ Philadelphia office. Her defense litigation practice has focused primarily on claims involving personal injury, premises liability, property damage and motor vehicle accidents.

Ms. Ballas began her career as a Public Defender in Berks County, Pennsylvania, where she worked as a trial attorney, representing clients in a wide variety of criminal matters. As a criminal defense attorney, she vigorously represented clients through all phases of criminal charges, from preliminary hearings through felony jury trials. Ms. Ballas successfully obtained mitigated sentences, negotiated favorable plea bargains, and achieved not-guilty jury and bench trial verdicts throughout her career. Prior to joining our office, Holly maintained a civil defense litigation practice, representing insurance carriers and their insureds in various liability claims, as well as insurance coverage disputes and subrogation. She is an active member of the Pennsylvania Bar.

Ms. Ballas obtained her J.D. from Roger Williams University School of Law in 2005. She obtained her B.A. from American University in 2002.

In her free time, Ms. Ballas enjoys sharing moments with her two teenage sons, Luke and Jason, and her dog, Mazzie. She also enjoys spending time outdoors and cheering for Philadelphia sports teams.
