Erica P. Silva
Erica P. Silva is an Associate in Tyson & Mendes’ San Francisco Bay Area office, with a specialization in negligence, nuisance, habitability issues, premises liability, wrongful death, and construction defect matters.
Prior to joining Tyson & Mendes, Ms. Silva gained extensive civil litigation experience in family law, managing a demanding caseload of complex financial issues and high-conflict disputes, including dissolution, spousal support, child support, child custody and visitation, property division, and domestic violence matters. Her prior family law background required careful evaluation of liability, risk, and exposure while balancing clients’ emotions and expectations, which are skills that she now applies to the practice of insurance defense. Ms. Silva is admitted to practice in the state of California.
Ms. Silva obtained her J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law, where she served on the Women’s Law Association, Public Interest Law Foundation, and Pride Law Organization. She obtained her B.A. in History from San Jose State University and remains an active member of Pi Sigma Alpha, the political high honor society club.
Outside the office, Ms. Silva enjoys reading, traveling, attending concerts, trying new restaurants with her boyfriend, and spending time with her kitten.
