Doria Gaulua Thomas
Doria Gaulua Thomas is Senior Counsel in Tyson & Mendes’ Orange County office. Ms. Thomas is a skilled litigator with extensive experience managing a demanding caseload, making court appearances, and conducting both bench and jury trials in state and federal courts. She is committed to achieving cost-effective results for her clients through vigorous advocacy.
Ms. Thomas has a consistent record of achieving favorable outcomes for her clients. Her background as a founding partner of a general practice firm provided her with invaluable experience in all phases of litigation, from case inception through trial. She has skillfully handled trial work and settlement negotiations in a variety of civil litigation matters. Early in her career, as a Prosecutor Intern, she demonstrated her aptitude for trial work by successfully completing five full jury trials, showcasing the courtroom advocacy skills she now brings to defending her clients. She is admitted to practice in California, the U.S. District Court in the Central District of California, and the Ninth District Court of Appeals. She is an active member of the Ventura County Bar Association and the Beverly Hills Bar Association.
Ms. Thomas obtained her J.D. and her LL.M. in Trial Advocacy from the Chapman University, Dale E. Fowler School of Law. She obtained her B.A. from the University of Washington, Seattle.
Outside of her legal practice, Ms. Thomas enjoys spending time with her husband, Spencer, and son, Samson. She is a member of the Sisters of Samoa, Los Angeles Chapter, and her personal interests include singing in her church choir, playing the guitar, reading classical literature, and spearfishing.
