Brad Anderson

Brad Anderson is Senior Counsel in Tyson & Mendes’ Orange County office. His practice focuses on various forms of complex litigation, including catastrophic injury, medical malpractice, wrongful death, abuse and neglect claims, and personal injury claims.

Mr. Anderson has extensive litigation experience, including representing individuals and businesses in state courts throughout California and in federal district courts. Additionally, Mr. Anderson has decades of experience practicing as a barrister in South Africa, where he appeared in multiple high court and appellate matters.  Mr. Anderson has tried numerous different cases and handled many arbitrations.  He is also adept at handling tribunals and hearings before various administrative bodies.  In 2014, Mr. Anderson was retained by the Special Investigating Unit as a barrister to work on the high-profile corruption investigation into one of South Africa’s former Presidents. Mr. Anderson was also briefed to handle extensive litigation on South Africa’s well-known Medupi and Kusile projects.

Mr. Anderson obtained his LLB degree (J.D. equivalent) from the University of Johannesburg (formerly Rand Afrikaans University) in 1999. He obtained his B.A. from the University of Johannesburg in 1996, where he participated in the English Honors Program and was a student tutor. Mr. Anderson is also an accredited mediator and arbitrator and holds an Advanced Certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution (cum laude) from the University of Pretoria. He also holds an Advanced Certificate in Construction Contracts (cum laude) from the University of Pretoria.

In his free time, Mr. Anderson enjoys spending time with his wife and children. He also enjoys reading, running, traveling, golf, and, most especially, watching rugby and cricket.  Indeed, Mr. Anderson has travelled extensively to watch his beloved Springboks play rugby around the world.
