Ashley L. Cooper

Ashley L. Cooper is Senior Counsel in Tyson & Mendes’ Tampa office. Her practice focuses on trucking, construction, premises liability, negligent security, toxic torts, medical malpractice, and environmental matters.

Ms. Cooper’s trial experience includes successfully representing Fortune 500 companies in trucking, negligence and contractual disputes. She specializes in preparing high damage/risk cases for a successful outcome at trial. Her appellate practice includes oral arguments before the Eleventh Circuit of the U.S. Court of Appeals. Many of her liability cases involve catastrophic injuries and wrongful death actions. She is a certified attorney member of the Trucking Industry Defense Association (TIDA), an organization dedicated to the defense of truckers and transportation companies and reducing the cost of claims and lawsuits. Previously, Ms. Cooper handled complex commercial litigation matters including multi-day binding arbitrations, risk mitigation for construction and insurance companies, while a partner at a large Florida-based law firm. Licensed in Florida and the District of Columbia, Ms. Cooper is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Super Lawyers® recognized her as a “Rising Star” multiple consecutive years, including 2025. In 2024, Lawyers of Distinction recognized her for her excellence in civil litigation.

Ms. Cooper obtained her J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law. She obtained her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Richmond in 2009.

In her free time, Ms. Cooper enjoys outdoor activities with her family and friends.
