Ashish Sudhakaran

Ashish Sudhakaran is a Senior Counsel in Tyson & Mendes’ Sacramento office. His practice areas include human services, premises liability, professional liability, personal injury, catastrophic accidents, construction defect, and construction accidents.

Mr. Sudhakaran has extensive litigation experience, including representing Fortune 500 companies in a variety of antitrust, intellectual property, white collar defense, and complex commercial litigation disputes throughout the United States. He has represented clients in several industries including leading companies in the pharmaceutical, automotive, technology, and publishing industries. A skilled litigator, Mr. Sudhakaran was a key member of the team that successfully defended a multinational pharmaceutical corporation by securing the dismissal of a competitor’s federal antitrust suit alleging attempted monopolization and conspiracy claims. Mr. Sudhakaran also successfully defended a California humane society and its humane Officers against various tort and constitutional law claims arising from the search and seizure of an illegal puppy breeding operation. In doing so, Mr. Sudhakaran spearheaded litigation strategy and successful motion to dismiss briefing in federal district court before leading further briefing on appeal and arguing the matter before a three-judge panel of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Prior to joining Tyson & Mendes, Mr. Sudhakaran worked as an associate and counsel at an AmLaw 50 litigation firm. Mr. Sudhakaran is admitted to practice in California, the U.S. District Courts in the Northern, Central, and Eastern Districts of California, as well as before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Mr. Sudhakaran obtained his J.D. from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly University of California, Hastings College of the Law), where he graduated magna cum laude and was a decorated member of the school’s nationally ranked Moot Court program. He obtained his B.Sc. in International Relations from the London School of Economics, graduating First Class Honors with Distinction.

In his free time, Mr. Sudhakaran enjoys spending time with his wife, family, and friends. He also enjoys traveling and is an avid runner who is perpetually training for his next marathon.
