Alison Koralewski
Alison (De Young) Koralewski is Senior Counsel in Tyson & Mendes’ San Diego office and a member of the Law & Motion team. Her practice focuses primarily on appeals, writs, and law and motion matters in complex litigation.
Ms. Koralewski is an experienced litigator, leveraging years of appellate and dispositive motion experience to successfully defend individuals, corporations, and public entities in both California and federal courts. She has successfully disposed of numerous cases via motion in the early stages of litigation. Before entering the private sector, she honed her skills in appellate law and strategy as a Senior Appellate Court Attorney for the California Court of Appeal, Fifth Appellate District. Prior to joining the Court of Appeal, she was a Staff Attorney for the California Superior Court of Kings County, where she managed high-volume law and motion calendars for seven trial departments. In both roles, Ms. Koralewski gained extensive legal research and writing experience in a variety of case types. In addition to her substantive and procedural knowledge, Ms. Koralewski is well versed in various legal research technology platforms and routinely utilizes such tools to deliver precise, thoroughly researched work product to clients in the most efficient manner possible.
Ms. Koralewski obtained her J.D. in 2015 from San Joaquin College of Law in Clovis, California, where she graduated with honors and awards for exceptional academic performance in constitutional and international law. During law school, she was a Judicial Extern at the United States District Court, Eastern District of California. She is licensed to practice law in California.
In her free time, Ms. Koralewski enjoys spending time with her family. She is an avid downhill and cross-country skier.
