Tyson & Mendes has expanded to the east coast with the opening of its new office in Fort Lauderdale, led by Partner Damian M. Fletcher. The new location will serve the entire state of Florida in complex litigation matters, defending clients in all state and federal courts.
With more than 20 years’ experience defending professional malpractice, products liability, employment, serious personal injury and catastrophic loss matters, Fletcher is a trial lawyer with many accolades. He also regularly resolves cases favorably and economically for his clients prior to trial. Fletcher previously served as partner at Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP in Fort Lauderdale for 11 years before transitioning to Tyson & Mendes.
“We have long envisioned an expansion to the east coast,” said Tyson & Mendes Managing Partner Robert Tyson. “With his proven track record and unique skill set, Damian is the perfect partner to help our firm put down roots in Florida and now defend clients all across the country.”
Fletcher is also an assistant professor of pharmacy law at the College of Pharmacy at the University of South Florida and currently serves on the board of directors for Faye Clark’s New Horizons, group homes for disabled adults.
Florida is the latest state to be serviced by Tyson & Mendes and joins the firm’s eight other offices throughout California, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado and Washington. The firm employs more than 75 attorneys and has more than 130 total employees.
