Tracy Duany is Senior Counsel at Tyson & Mendes’ Seattle office. Her practice focuses on general liability defense with an emphasis on catastrophic personal injury defense, medical malpractice defense, professional licensure issues, appellate practice, and insurance coverage.
Ms. Duany has over twenty years of experience representing clients in state and federal courts. Her succinct and persuasive writing style has helped her obtain summary judgment and appellate victories on behalf of professionals, hospitals, businesses, and municipal corporations. Ms. Duany has also successfully represented insurance carriers in declaratory judgment and bad faith actions, including obtaining a favorable ruling from the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals affirming her client’s rightful denial of coverage for alleged advertising injuries.
Ms. Duany received her J.D. and B.A. from the University of Florida, where she was a Senior Editor of the Florida Law Review. She also studied international law and international human rights at University College London. Ms. Duany is admitted to practice in Washington and Florida.
Outside of the office, Ms. Duany enjoys spending time with family and friends, getting lost in a good book, and cheering on the Florida Gators.
