Tiffany Chukiat is Senior Counsel at Tyson & Mendes’ Orange County office. Her practice focuses on business and civil litigation.
Ms. Chukiat has extensive experience representing clients in the Superior and Federal Courts of California. She represents corporate and individual clients in matters involving breach of contract, fraudulent misrepresentation, conversion, breach of fiduciary duty, and unfair business practices causes of action. She has represented financial institutions to resolve commercial loan defaults and defend against wrongful foreclosure actions. Ms. Chukiat has also defended hospitals in matters involving professional negligence and premises liability. For her commercial clients, she has obtained provisional, statutory remedies known as writs of attachment to secure debtor assets for the purpose of paying her clients’ claims when the litigation is concluded. Additionally, she has successfully opposed requests for writs of attachment against her own clients. Ms. Chukiat has filed demurrers that have disposed of meritless causes of action and entire lawsuits at the pleading stage. Further, she is adept in preparing and executing litigation strategies have that ultimately enabled her to negotiate favorable pre-trial resolutions for her clients, saving her clients substantial attorneys’ fees and costs.
Ms. Chukiat obtained her J.D. from Chapman University School of Law in 2009. She obtained her B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2006. She is also a member of the Orange County Bar Association and the Thai American Bar Association.
Ms. Chukiat is a native of Orange County, where she lives with her husband, two young sons, and two large, loving rescue dogs. She enjoys live music, various types of food, running, travelling, and tries to lead a happy, healthy lifestyle.
