Steve Plas is Senior Counsel in Tyson & Mendes’ Northern California office. His practice experience includes a wide spectrum of general liability, professional liability, serious personal injury, and construction related litigation from inception through trial.
Mr. Plas brings the experience and knowledge drawn from defending complex issues including wrongful death, traumatic brain injury, professional malpractice, construction site accidents, manufacturing equipment safety guard design and installation, mass toxic tort action involving lead/arsenic pesticide waste exposure, indoor gun range shooting accidents, premises liability, and automobile accident liability. His experience includes more than 20 first chair jury trials to verdict, many of which resulted in defense verdicts in Northern California Superior courts.
Mr. Plas received his B.A. in Business Administration from Ohio University magna cum laude, and received his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University where he also interned with the U.S. Attorney’s office. Since admission to the California bar, he has practiced continuously throughout California where he is admitted to all state courts and the federal courts of the Northern and Eastern Districts.
In his free time, Mr. Plas enjoys spending time with family, following major league baseball and college football, exploring the outdoors, and fishing.
