Roger Stewart

Roger Stewart is Senior Counsel at Tyson & Mendes’ Fresno office. His practice includes defense of catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, and professional negligence.

Mr. Stewart has participated in all aspects of civil litigation, including over 15 trials to verdict in Central California. Prior to joining Tyson and Mendes, Mr. Stewart has worked for multiple insurance defense firms, large and small,  and as staff counsel for a large property and casualty insurer for 13 years, all in the Central Valley of California. While attending laws school, he worked as an investigator for the California Department of Insurance in San Francisco.

Mr. Stewart graduated from University of California at Berkeley with a B.A. in economics. He graduated from University of San Francisco School of Law in 1977. He obtained a masters in taxation from the San Joaquin College of Law in Fresno in 1986.

In free time, Mr. Stewart enjoys foreign travel, reading mysteries and legal thrillers, exercise, and entertaining his grandchildren.
