Prina Patel is an Associate at Tyson & Mendes’ Seattle office. Her practice focuses primarily on medical malpractice defense, professional licensure issues, and general liability defense.
Prior to joining Tyson Mendes, Ms. Patel completed a Fellowship in Philadelphia where her work focused on product liability, birth injury, medical device, and insurance defense cases. She also has experience in healthcare compliance and pharmaceutical law from her externships in law school.
Ms. Patel obtained her J.D. from The Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law. During her time at Temple, she was on the board for the Women’s Law Caucus and a member of the Affinity Group Coalition, both organizations that cultivate and strengthen diversity in the legal profession. She earned her B.A. from Smith College, where she studied Neuroscience and Women’s Studies. She is a member of the The Scientific Research Honor Society Sigma Xi for excellence in research.
In her spare time she enjoys traveling with her husband, cooking with her parents, and visiting her family in Oregon (where she grew up).
