Nicole Heckman - Associate

Nicole Heckman is an Associate in Tyson & Mendes’ New York office.  She has experience in civil litigation matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Heckman worked for a New York City firm specializing in medical malpractice, where she passionately advocated on behalf of healthcare providers throughout all phases of litigation.  She prides herself on expertly tailoring legal arguments to fit the needs of each client while also providing efficient and regular communication.  Ms. Heckman has successfully argued and drafted summary judgment motions.  She has also aided in obtaining defense verdicts on behalf of clients in complex and high exposure litigation.  In addition to her main practice, she dedicated time to her prior firm’s pro-bono program, representing clients seeking divorce.

Ms. Heckman obtained her B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh and her J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law.  While in law school, Ms. Heckman worked in the legal department of a major metropolitan hospital, where she was exposed to many facets of the law, including litigation and compliance, as well as for the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, where Ms. Heckman appeared in court on suppression motions and preliminary hearings.

In her free time, Ms. Heckman enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking, trying as many restaurants in NYC as possible, traveling, and rooting for all Philadelphia sports teams.
