Natasha Langenfeld

Natasha Langenfeld is an Associate in Tyson & Mendes’ Sacramento office. She brings more than 17 years of experience to the firm.
Ms. Langenfeld previously served as a Deputy Attorney General III in Torts and Condemnation for the California Department of Justice. Her notable victories include securing a defense verdict in a civil rights action following a seven-day jury trial and defending Sacramento County in a lawsuit brought by the Regents of the University of California, which involved the reimbursement of thousands of hospital claims under the County Medically Indigent Services Program. That case settled for $93 million during Phase III of a bench trial after a decade of litigation. Other successes include a defense verdict for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation after a six-day federal jury trial and obtaining summary adjudication in favor of the Sacramento Kings in a race discrimination case. She has also achieved summary judgment for multiple school districts sued under the California Voting Rights Act. Ms. Langenfeld is licensed to practice law in California and Florida.
Ms. Langenfeld obtained her J.D. from Lincoln Law School of Sacramento, where she was salutatorian. She also taught legal writing there for many years. She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Davis, graduating with honors.
In her free time, Ms. Langenfeld enjoys walking her dog, reading, and boating. She is certified to work in a domestic violence shelter and recently joined the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program.
